Our connection is all three. And with just one light-hearted conversation (and of course some bubbles), our vision of this project came to life.
Laurie Sharp and Alison Regenold have 50 years of collective experience in the tech events and marketing industries both as entrepreneurs and working for large tech firms. In their 25 years of friendship they have worked together, they have worked for competitors, they were in each other’s wedding, they had children (9 months apart), they started companies, and have weathered countless personal and professional challenges along the way.
With more than 25 years’ experience in global corporate experiential marketing including a decade in tech with New Relic, VMware, Brocade, and Dolby, over 12 years on the agency side, I am grateful every single day to do what I love.
Although funding, designing and managing tech events for 20,000+ may seem daunting, that doesn’t compare to the herculean efforts needed to parent an independent and intelligent 19 year old daughter. After spending her senior year of high school in her room thanks to Covid, Taylor is now a thriving sophomore at Colorado State University. I’m one proud mom.
What keeps me sane? Meditation, Soulcycle, Keto, Travel, Bubbles and Nature
With over 25 years cultivated in the hospitality and event industry, I still thrive on exploring new destinations, venues and creating experiences for our clients as well as for our family. From being on the opening team of The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco to decades of working for the best people I know in the business to starting my own event planning company exactly nine years ago, I am beyond blessed. Still to this day what makes me thrive? Connection. Connection to our Earth. Connection to people. I am in awe of our exemplary team, the incredible travel directors from around the globe who have supported our experiences, the talent in vendor partners that translate our vision, and so very grateful for the clients who believe in and hire us. I am grateful for all those who share valuable resources and dedicate themselves to our amazing industry, driving it and making it better. And to all the bad asses out there who help me get through the day, open my eyes to new things and help us thrive . . . I thank you!
When I’m not technically working, I enjoy hiking up or skiing down mountains, shooting sporitng clays, boating on the San Francisco Bay, getting on my yoga mat, enjoying my family, friends and our puppy, Kona. Cheers!
